The Arc of South Hampton Roads Annual Membership Meeting

If you are a current member that would like to renew their membership to the Arc of SHR or if you are new and are interested in becoming a member then THIS meeting is for YOU!

When: 7:00pm-8:00pm Monday, October 27th, 2014
Where: Hope House Foundation Admin Office - 801 Boush St. Suite 302 Norfolk VA 23510  (Parking is limited in front of the building but there is a gravel lot across the street that people can park in for free)

There will be snacks and drinks.


The Arc of SHR is also seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals that are interested in joining our Board!  If you are interested in joining the Board then please go to our website and fill out a Board member application.   (application on right side column under Become a Board Member on this page)
The deadline to submit applications to be a part of the Board is October 20th, 2014. 
Current and new Board members will be introduced at the Annual Membership meeting on October 27th, 2014.

The Arc of South Hampton Roads is currently accepting applications to review for boards members and the deadline for submitting application is October 20, 2014.

Department Of Justice listening sessions / public comment

Kyle Smiddie, Attorney with DOJ has worked with The Arc of South Hampton Roads to set up a meeting in the Hampton Roads area.

2 sessions will be hosted by the Endependence Center  6300 East Virginia Beach Blvd. in Norfolk
Wednesday 7/23 from 2:30p-4p and 6p-7p.

Please pass this information onto anyone (family members, self-advocates, CSBs) you know may be interested in attending to voice their concerns with the DOJ settlement over the past 2 years.
